NextGen® PxP Portal

NextGen® PxP Portal NextGen® PxP Portal The NextGen® PxP Portal messages window opens in the Patient Portal tab in the Workflow module. Note: The Patient Portal tab does not appear if the NextGen® PxP Portal license has expired. This window provides the following message categories to manage correspondence of patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal. Communications. Enables you to view, send, draft (save unsent messages), and respond to patient's messages. Prescriptions. Enables you to view and respond to patient's prescription requests. Appointments. Enables you to view and respond to patient's appointment requests. Online Forms. Enables you to review and import patient's completed online forms. You can also add these items to a patient’s chart. To view all communication sent and received through NextGen® PxP Portal in one view for the selected patient, you can select the Patient-Specific toggle. Workflow Module Layout and Features

The Workflow module for NextGen® Enterprise EHR connects you to your tasks, PAQ, appointments, message manager view, email, and NextGen® PxP Portal messages on one multi-functional window. Workflow module layout and features describes to access Workflow module and the module window tabs and sections, toolbar, icons, hot keys, and spell checker. Workflow Module Tabs and Sections

The Workflow module consists of the following tabs and sections: Section Description Navigation tabs Tabs appear at the top of the window to access Clinical Tasking, Appointments, Email, Patient Portal, Provider Approval Queue, and Message Manager View. Some tabs may not appear if the function has not been enabled or configured. An exclamation point indicates that there is new content in the tab. Note: The current tab opens automatically when you access the Workflow module next time. Preview pane Displays the details for each workflow item. Appointments Displays information about the present day appointments for the selected provider. Workflow item details Content in this section is dependent on the workflow item you have selected. Toolbar Contains functions, dependent on the tab and item you have selected. Workflow Module

The Workflow module provides the functionality for: Clinical tasking Set up clinical tasking preferences. View, accept, decline, reject, complete, create, update, reply to, assign or reassign, remove or restore tasks. Respond to refill requests that ePrescribing (eRX) generates. Accept and manage electronic prior authorizations (ePAs). Set up workflow delegates and out-of-the-office status. Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) Set up PAQ preferences and custom rules. Accept, sign off, reject, reassign, or task PAQ items. Send documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. Link NextGen® Document Management images to an open order. Add a patient to a recall list. Appointments Set up appointment viewing preferences. View patient appointments for multiple providers and resources that were scheduled through NextGen® Enterprise PM. Access the Workflow Module

You can access the Workflow module in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Perform one of the following: On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR top toolbar, select either the Inbox or PAQ icon. Note: Accessing the Workflow module from the PAQ icon always displays the PAQ tab, regardless of which tab was opened last. From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR File menu, select Work Flow. Spelling Checker

Spell Checker enables you to check and correct spelling errors while typing text in certain alphanumeric editable fields. To use this feature, right-click the potential spelling error. You can also use the Spelling window. The Spell Checker is available for the following tabs in the Workflow module.
