View Patient's Medication Allergies

Before you begin

You must ensure that you have the View access right enabled in MODULES > Medical Records > Medications Allergies in System Administrator. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise.
You can view a quick list of the patient's active medication allergies to identify potential adverse drug reactions. You can also open the Medication Allergies module to add or update the patient's allergies.
A total count of the patient's active allergies appears on the Allergies button on the Quick Buttons panel.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window.
  2. To view a quick list of the patient's medication allergies, on the Quick Buttons panel, hover over Allergies.
    The Allergies table appears displaying the patient's allergen and reaction (with severity) information.

  3. To open the Medication Allergies module and add or update the patient's allergies information, on the Quick Buttons panel, select Allergies.
