The
Eye Configuration practice template contains configurations specific to the
NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite. The
Eye Configuration practice template enables you to do the following:
- View the install date and current version of the NextGen® Ophthalmic Suite.
- Configure ophthalmic providers for a sub-specialty, enable the copy last exam forward feature, and set a default specialty for the provider.
- Enable auto-generation of clinical documents when billing codes are submitted to the Superbill.
- Enable the Contact Lens Consent section on the Contact Lens Evaluation - OPH template
- Set the desired unit of pressure for interocular pressure and configure the abnormal high and low values.
- Configure the number of days users can edit visual acuity and IOP fields before they are changed to read-only.
- Set the classification system for document Gonioscopy exam findings to Spaeth.
- Set the time format to military time.
- Configure time intervals for tests in the Health Monitor section.
- Configure picklists for multiple ophthalmic exams by provider.
- Customize the wording for normal exam findings.
