Data Sets Setup	This practice template is where Ophthalmic diagnostic tests found on the Order Tests - OPH template are configured, and where contact lens types are maintained (for the Contact Lens Evaluationtemplate). Custom DB Picklists	This system template is where the diagnostic test categories used for setting up Ophthalmic diagnostic tests on the Data Sets Setup are maintained in the oph_dx_setup_category DB picklist. This is also where the OPH_OcularHistory DB picklist is maintained, which is used to correlate SNOMED codes and descriptions for ocular conditions and procedures that can be selected for the patient on the Ocular History - OPH template. System and practice templates allow clients to configure different functions and features of the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine to meet their own preferences without having to make customizations to templates using Template Editor. The following templates are used for configurations by all specialties: Field Description Framework Content System-level template used for configuring content and navigation on the Framework Template Set and specialty template sets based on the Framework templates. Ophthalmology Content for the Framework Template Set

One of the biggest benefits of the Framework-based tabbed workflow is being able to configure content and navigation using the Framework Content system template. When you are on the main specialty Home Page or Intake template, selecting a specialty and a visit type causes the navigation and content configured on the Framework Content system template to load the configured template set. The Framework Content system template enables clients to easily set up navigation at the specialty level, the practice level, and the provider level using the fields at the top of the template. Note: The recommended best practice is to use the configuration setup functionality at the Framework Content system template at the specialty level as often as possible. It is recommended that clients avoid or limit the use of provider-based configuration setups due to the difficulty in maintaining the large numbers of configuration setups that can result when using provider-based setups. Before the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine for Ophthalmology can be used in a clinical setting with patients, individuals responsible for setting up and maintaining the system have to review and configure specialty-specific functionalities and content for Ophthalmology. Since Ophthalmology templates compromise of three different template sets , it is important to know which Home template to use and how to open it. For clients using the Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) templates, there are additional steps for setting up a practice as an Ambulatory Surgical Center. Each of the diagnostic tests configured in the Ophthalmology diagnostic tests data set has specific information to be set up. Field Name Description Test description The Test description field is used to display and edit the test description. The selection made from the Procedure opened from the Billing/Test code field appears in this field automatically. Clicking this field opens the Procedures template. The description can be edited as needed. Billing/Test code The Billing/Test code contains the procedure code for the test. Clicking this field opens the Procedures template.
