Inventory Management Template

Use the Inventory Management template to manage your medication inventory. You can add, adjust, waste, and transfer medications, track transactions. view which patients were administered certain medications in case of recalls and run inventory reports. The following table summarizes the uses of Inventory Management template panels. Panel Use To… Medication Inventory Search for inventory, view inventory details, add non-vaccine medications, adjust inventory, waste medications, and transfer medications to other locations Transfer Information Transfer medications from one inventory to another. Accept transferred medications from a holding grid to check them into inventory, return the medication, or waste the medication Patients Administered Selected Medication View all patients who were administered a selected medication, and to access the patient’s chart Waste View the details of waste transactions for a selected medication Transaction Log View every transaction for a selected medication

Configuring Tasks

You can configure various automatic and manual tasks that are used on the medical record templates in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. you can configure the conditions and details of various tasks and add specific users or workgroups as task recipients for automatic tasks on the MICS Tasking Manager system template. Tasking Manager template The MICS Tasking Manager system template sends automatic tasks to the designated recipients while documenting details on the applicable medical record templates based on the task criteria. For using the manual tasks configured on the MICS Tasking Manager system template, you can select the task Task icon on the relevant medical record template. On the Add New Task window that opens, you can manually send the task to the designated recipients. You can do the following on the MICS Tasking Manager system template. Generate Medication Refill Report

You can generate the Medication Refill Report from the Reports panel of the Inventory Management template. You can view medications in inventory, the par levels, and the refill quantities in the Medication Refill Report. The refill quantity is based on the par levels configured in the Sub-Location(s) & Par Level Configuration panel on the Admin Configuration system template. You can set the parameters to be included in the Medication Refill Report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Restock Report. Note: If you do not select any criteria, the report displays all items in all grids for the selected practice. On the MLTS Reports template, expand the Reports panel. Select the Restock Report icon. The MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Restock Report opens. From the Practice field, select a practice. The report defaults to the practice that you are logged on to. Generate Medications Wasted Report

The Medications Wasted report contains all the details about wasted medications in the inventory. You can set the parameters to be included in the Medications Wasted report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Waste report. Note: If you do not select any criteria, the report displays all items in all grids for the selected practice. On the MLTS Reports template, expand the Reports panel. Select the Waste Report icon. The MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for Waste report opens. Select the Start Date and End Date fields to enter a date range. From the Practice field, select a practice. The report defaults to the practice that you are logged on to. However, you can select another practice. In the Locations panel, select the locations from the Location Name grid. Generate Inventory On Hand Report

You can generate the Inventory On Hand report from the Reports panel of the Inventory Management template. The Inventory On Hand report displays all the details about medications currently available in the inventory. You can set the parameters to be included in the Inventory On Hand report on the MLTS CR Reports Prompts template for the Inventory On Hand report.
