You can use the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control medical record templates to document the administration and dispensing of medications from your configured inventory. Documenting Dispensed Medications You can document medications that are dispensed and administered to the patient on the MICS Dispensing template. General Information Ordering and Administering Immunizations You can order vaccines, and document immunization information on the MICS Immunizations template. Documenting Injections and Aspirations You can document joint injections and aspirations for a patient. Documenting Ophthalmology Injections You can document ophthalmology injection procedures for a patient on the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. Managing Medications You can document the dispensing and administration details of ordered medications on the MICS Med Management template.

Musculo Foundation Configurations (INF)

You can configure settings related to QuickPicks for NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. The Musculo Foundation (INF) is a framework of shared configurations for the stand-alone Musculoskeletal products. The Specialty QuickPick Manager is the only configuration template of Musculo Foundation (INF) used in NextGen® Medication Inventory Control. You can manage QuickPicks of NextGen® Medication Inventory Control using the Specialty QuickPick Manager system template. Configuring Medication Information and Billing Rules

You can configure billing information for medications dispensed or administered and radiology tests done in your practice. You can do the following configurations on the Medication & Billing Configuration system template: Configure where the submitted charges need to be sent for each specialty. Configure the user groups for dispensing or administering on the fly medications. Configure medications as billable or non-billable in the Medication Information Configuration panel. Configure billing rules for medications as per financial class and payers in the Medication Billing Rules panel. Configure billing rules for radiology tests in the Radiology Billing Rules panel. Invoice Configuration Template

Use the Invoice Configuration template to add invoice numbers, vendors, shippers, invoice totals, and due dates, and to monitor paid and unpaid invoices. You can tie medications entered in inventory to invoices for tracking. Medication Picklist Template

Each of the panels in the Medication Picklist template has grids that correspond to picklists on configuration templates or medical record templates. Use the grids to configure the picklists for managing inventory and administering medications.
