Configuring Source Types

You can configure the Source picklist to select the source of medications in your inventory. You can configure the Source picklist used on NextGen® Medication Inventory Control templates in the Source Types panel on the MICS Medication Picklist system template. Source Types panel You can use the Medication Source grid to configure the Source picklist for non-vaccine medications that are added into inventory using the MICS Inventory Management system template. You can use the Immunization Source grid to configure the Source picklist for vaccines that are added into inventory using the MICS Immunizations Configuration system template. You can use the Active and Inactive options to filter the grid content. You can change the status of a picklist value to Active or Inactive using the Toggle button. Configuring Manufacturer and Unit Type Picklists

You can configure picklists for the Manufacturer and Unit Type fields used on the Medication & Billing Configuration system template. You can configure the picklists using Manufacturer and Unit Type panel on the MICS Medication Picklist system template. The following grids in the Manufacturer and Unit Type panel displays the picklists for the Manufacturer and Unit Type fields on the Medication & Billing configuration template. Configuring Procedure Information Picklists

You can configure picklists related to procedures, body parts, and locations for several medical record templates. On the Medication Picklist template, you can use the Administering Template Body Part/Location panel to configure picklists for fields related to procedures, body parts, sides, and locations on the following medical record templates. MICS Dispensing MICS Injections/Aspirations MICS Med Management MICS MedAdmin OPH Administering Template Body Part/Location panel By default, the Active option is selected for all grids. When you select an option in the Template field, the grids are displayed in this panel based on the picklist requirements for the selected template. Waste, Adjust, Transfer Panel

The Waste, Adjust, Transfer panel has grids to configure the picklists for the Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer fields on the Inventory Management template. These fields appear when you select one of the radio buttons below the Medication Inventory grid. The Reason for Waste, Reason for Adjustment, and Mode of Transfer grids list items alphabetically. You cannot change the sort order. Configuring NextGen® Medication Inventory Control

You can use the system or practice templates to configure the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control medical record templates and manage your inventory based on your requirements.
