Configuring Procedure Information Picklists

You can configure picklists related to procedures, body parts, and locations for several medical record templates. On the Medication Picklist template, you can use the Administering Template Body Part/Location panel to configure picklists for fields related to procedures, body parts, sides, and locations on the following medical record templates. MICS Dispensing MICS Injections/Aspirations MICS Med Management MICS MedAdmin OPH Administering Template Body Part/Location panel By default, the Active option is selected for all grids. When you select an option in the Template field, the grids are displayed in this panel based on the picklist requirements for the selected template. Configuring Source Types

You can configure the Source picklist to select the source of medications in your inventory. You can configure the Source picklist used on NextGen® Medication Inventory Control templates in the Source Types panel on the MICS Medication Picklist system template. Source Types panel You can use the Medication Source grid to configure the Source picklist for non-vaccine medications that are added into inventory using the MICS Inventory Management system template. You can use the Immunization Source grid to configure the Source picklist for vaccines that are added into inventory using the MICS Immunizations Configuration system template. You can use the Active and Inactive options to filter the grid content. You can change the status of a picklist value to Active or Inactive using the Toggle button. Follow-Up and Timeframe Panel

Use the grids on the Follow-Up and Timeframe panel to configure the picklists that open for the Follow-Up and Timeframe on the MICS Injections/Aspirations template or the MICS MedAdmin OPH template. The Follow-Up and Timeframe grids list items alphabetically. They do not come pre-loaded. Since you cannot type into the Follow-Up and Timeframe fields, to enter anything in them, you must add at least one entry to their picklists. Medication Picklist Template

Each of the panels in the Medication Picklist template has grids that correspond to picklists on configuration templates or medical record templates. Use the grids to configure the picklists for managing inventory and administering medications. Configuring Picklists for the MICS MedAdmin OPH Template

You can configure picklists for Admin Type and Body Part fields on the MICS MedAdmin OPH medical record template. You can configure picklists using Admin Types and Body Parts grids in the Administering Template Body Part/Location panel on the Medication Picklist system template. Note: You must select MLTS_medAdmin_OPH in the Template field of the Administering Template BodyPart/Location panel to enable the configurations for MICS MedAdmin OPH template. Manage Admin Types for Injections/Aspirations template

You can add or update the picklist values for the Admin Type fields on the MICS Injections/Aspirations template. You can manage the picklists using the Admin Types grid in the Administering Template Body Part/Location panel on the Medication Picklist system template. This configuration associates the medication administration types with appropriate Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for billing purposes.
