Programming Honeywell® 1400g2D Scanner to Scan 2D Barcodes

You must program the scanner because 2D barcodes terminate variable length data contained in the translated barcode with a “group separator” sequence that the scanner passes as a hexadecimal x1D. Programming the scanner replaces the hexadecimal character x1D with hexadecimal character x23. To scan 2D barcodes, your scanner must: Support scanning of GS1 Datamatrix 2D barcodes. Allow for substitution of a scanned code for another code when transmitting. Print Barcode Labels

You can print barcode labels for specific medications or all the medications of a practice on the Barcode Configuration system template. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. In the Show section, select All. Double-click Specialty Config Home, or select it and then select OK. The Specialty Config Home system template opens. In Specialty System Sidebar, select Barcode Configuration. The Barcode Configuration system template opens. Barcode Configuration Template In the Location and Sub-Location field, select the desired location and sub-location respectively. From the Format style of document section, select the desired format for barcode labels to be printed. From the Items to Display on the document section, select the options corresponding to information to be printed on the barcode labels. Program Honeywell 1400g2D Scanner

You need to scan several barcodes in sequence to program the scanner. These barcodes represent individual numbers, letters, and functions. Scan the following barcode to put the scannner in the programming mode. Using the programming chart, scan the barcodes corresponding to following numbers in the given sequence. 0, 0, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, E, 4, 0, 2, 1, D, 2, 3, F, 7, E, 9, 0, and 0 Scan the following barcode to save the configurations done earlier.
