Programming Honeywell® 1400g2D Scanner to Scan 2D Barcodes
You must program the scanner because 2D barcodes terminate variable length data contained in the translated barcode with a “group separator” sequence that the scanner passes as a hexadecimal x1D. Programming the scanner replaces the hexadecimal character x1D with hexadecimal character x23.
To scan 2D barcodes, your scanner must:
- Support scanning of GS1 Datamatrix 2D barcodes.
- Allow for substitution of a scanned code for another code when transmitting.
