Admin Configuration Template

The Admin Configuration template has panels that you can use to set up users with administrative override rights,give users rights to perform mass inventory updates, configure sub locations and par levels, set up the default panel types for the MICS Injections/Aspirations template, and configure the security group for the billing task. Configuring Administrative Override You can configure security groups and users that have permission to override or remove documentation from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Manage User Groups to Document On the Fly Medications

You can manage the permission for users who can document on the fly medications dispensed or administered on the NextGen® Medication Inventory Control medical records template. On the fly medications are the medications that are not added through MICS Inventory Management system template but are available on the Medication & Billing Configuration system template. For example, medications brought by patients or directly received from the in-house pharmacy of your practice. On the Medication & Billing Configuration template, go to Security Group Configuration for "On The Fly" Access grid. In the field below the Security Group column, select the desired user group. To enable the users from selected user group to add billable medications on the fly, select the Billable check box. To enable the users from selected user group to add non-billable medications on the fly, select the Non-Billable check box. Select Add . Update. Medication Billing Rules Panel

The Medication Billing Rules panel enables you to configure billing rules for medications. Use the Medication Billing Rules panel to set up: Standard or special billing rules, including financial class-specific or payer-specific billing rules Payers that do not bill for a medication Financial classes and/or specific payers that do not allow combining medications for billing purposes. For all of these actions, rules that have been set up for one medication, financial class, or payer can be copied to another, to save setup time. Note: The Billing Rules grid only applies to medication administered from the MICS Dispensing and MICS Injections/Aspirations templates. Configuring Radiology Billing Rules

You can add, update, and deactivate billing rules for radiology tests. On the MICS Medication & Billing template, in the Radiology Billing Rules panel, you can configure billing rules for radiology tests. The following table describes the sections in the Radiology Billing Rules panel. You can add, update, and deactivate billing rules in the sections. Section Description Excluded from Billing To configure Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes that are excluded from billing. Placement Confirmation Code Conversions To configure billing conversions for placement confirmation codes.
