Macro Functions

Macro functions are custom functions for expressions that you can reuse in more than one template. Macro functions can include standard functions and other macro functions. You can insert macro functions in value calculations on the Assign Field Value window and in conditions on the Trigger Info window. You can export and import macro functions through the Template Import/Export utility. Macro functions can be created by users or by NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine administrators. The functions are prefixed by either USR for user-defined or NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine-defined. Functions

Template Editor provides an extensive set of functions for: Current field and last edit field with focus Date, time, ID, and name Enterprise Chart, Enterprise Case, Edit/Review Patient Mode Patient age, sex, and insurance/payer Strings Data sheets Databases Growth percentages Number pads, calendars, input boxes, and Array variable picklists Comparing equal and unequal values, evaluating expressions, returning a true/false value, assigning values to an Array variable, and returning the name of the parent template for a Sidebar template You can use functions in: Trigger conditions Value calculations Macro Functions Note: Only string functions are available for use with Note fields.
