Lensometry/Refraction Exams

The Lensometry/Refraction panel or section displays current encounter exam findings, as well as findings for the last five encounters, in separate grids for OD and OS on the Prelim Exam - OPH and Provider - OPH tab templates.

Lensometry and refraction findings are documented on the Oph EyeTech template on the Lensometry/Refraction panel. The Oph EyeTech template opens when you click the Add button.

For Lensometry and refraction findings fields with a blue arrow to the right, you can click the field and type in data using free text or click the blue arrow and select values from the lists or onscreen numeric keypads that open for the field. Enter values for one eye, then repeat the process to enter values for the other eye.

For a returning patient, you can choose to quickly document a patient’s current glasses prescription by selecting the Lensometry, Manifest Refraction, or glasses prescription values from a previous encounter on the OPH – Lensometry/Refraction History template, opened with the Historical Lensometry/Refraction link.
