Specialty Configuration Home

You can use the specialty configuration homepage to open various configuration templates. The Specialty Config Home template helps you do the following: Open the configuration templates using the links in the Specialty System Sidebar. The links for each product are listed in their respective sections, and the Main section contains the links to templates that are common to all the currently installed NextGen Healthcare products. Read descriptions to understand the purpose of configuration templates. The templates and their descriptions for each product are provided in their respective sections, and the details in the Main section are applicable to the common templates of currently installed NextGen Healthcare products. The NTS System Config template has panels for the configuration of Security Groups and Sign Off, Finclass and Payer Settings, Appointment Tracking and Evaluation Types, PT/OT Treatment and Surgery Sources (an advanced configuration). Configuring NextGen® Therapy Suite

You can use system and practice templates to configure the NextGen® Therapy Suite templates according to your requirements. This information is intended for the staff responsible for maintaining the configuration settings. System Requirements Specialty Configuration Home You can use the specialty configuration homepage to open various configuration templates. Practice Configuration The Practice Configuration template enables you to configure settings and preferences for your practice. My Plan Template Set Configuration You can configure tabs on the My Plan template set based on your practice's requirements. Configure the Ability to Copy Comments Forward

For specified visit sets, you can allow therapists to copy forward SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) comments, including comments captured from NextGen® Mobile, to the current encounter. Users can copy comments into the Single Visit templates and into the NTS Soap Comments template. Open the NTS Practice Config template, and then scroll to the Review Comments/NG Mobile section. Do one of the following: To create a configuration, select the field below the Visit Set column, and then select a visit set from the list. To modify a configuration, select a visit set in the grid. To allow users in the visit set to copy SOAP comments from past encounters to the current encounter, select Yes for Review Comments Copy Forward. The Get Data button becomes available on all Single Visit templates. Optional: If your practice uses NextGen® Mobile, select Yes for Mobile. This option adds the text "NG Mobile Dictation" to applicable labels on the Single Visit and NTS SOAP Comments templ

Open the Practice Configuration Template

Open the NTS Practice Config practice template from the Specialty Config Home system template so you can configure settings and preferences for your practice. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. On the System tab, select Specialty Config Home, and then select OK. The Specialty Config Home template opens. In the System Sidebar, select Practice Config. The NTS Practice Config practice template opens. Parent topic: Practice Configuration

Student Settings

For facilities that have students, you can use the Student Settings section to enable or disable certain features when the signed-on user is in the Student user group. For PT/OT Student General Supervision, select Enable if you want the Total General Supervised Student Time field to appear on the NTS Treatment template for PT/OT students. For Pediatric Exam Student Setting, select Disable for pediatric language exams to calculate the results for speech therapy students. Enable or disable Get Data for users in student groups. Enable or disable Quick Picks for users in student groups.
