Open the Practice Configuration Template

Open the NTS Practice Config practice template from the Specialty Config Home system template so you can configure settings and preferences for your practice. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. On the System tab, select Specialty Config Home, and then select OK. The Specialty Config Home template opens. In the System Sidebar, select Practice Config. The NTS Practice Config practice template opens. Parent topic: Practice Configuration

Single Visit

You can configure the following settings for Single Visit template in the Single Visit section of the NTS Practice Config practice template. Practice Configuration

You can use the NTS Practice Config template to configure settings for the practice that you are logged on to. The template has a table layout with rows of settings for Scripts, Single Visit, Diagnosis, PT/OT Exams, PT/OT Modalities, PT/OT Aquatherapy, Goals, Fee Sheet, QuickPicks, Cancel, Screening, and Student Settings with SLP Students. Entering Time for Treatments

You can document the unattended and individual time spent with a patient for each applicable code using the fields below each grid on the NTS Treatment template. If an assistant led the therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Asst Time field. You can enter the time that a therapist spent with the patients in group therapy in the Group Time field and enter the size of the group in the Group Size field. If an assistant led the group therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Group Asst Time field. Note: The checkbox next to the Asst Time or Group Asst Time fields gets selected if the assistant time is more than the configured % of the total time. If PT/OT students treat the patient under the general supervision of the therapist, you can enter the time in the Total General Supervised Student Time field. Student Mode Settings

For facilities that have students, there are three different configuration options that you can use to prevent students from using tools that quickly populate data. To implement these, make sure that the student user is in the student user group. On the Practice Config practice template, there is a setting to activate student mode for the pediatric language exams. When a student is assigned to Student signoff rights on the System Config practice template, they will see colored boxes on the Peds Lang exams. Peds Lang exams with colored boxes The yellow boxes indicate fields that the student must calculate the entry for or look up values in a test booklet. When the student enters a value in a field, the field either turns red, if the value is incorrect, or green if it is correct. If there are any boxes that are still red when the therapist tries to submit the charges, the application blocks submission until the student or therapist corrects the issue. User Defined Signoff

Use this section to configure additional sign-off options to suit the needs of your practice. There are four user-configurable signature fields. Select a row in the grid. Enter the label that you want to see for the checkbox on Single Visit (for example, Additional Therapist, External Physician, Ordering Physician, or Treatment Coordinator). User Defined Signoff grid in the Security Groups and Sign Off section of the System Config template If you want the document to show a heading above that signer’s name, enter it in the field below the Doc Header column. Note: NextGen Healthcare suggests text that indicates that the person signed electronically. Assign permission based on the signoff rights at the top of the NTS System Config template. You can select 'ALL'. Use the Yes checkbox below the Generate Doc column to specify if you would like new documents to be generated when that sign off checkbox is checked.
