You can document the unattended and individual time spent with a patient for each applicable code using the fields below each grid on the NTS Treatment template. If an assistant led the therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Asst Time field.
You can enter the time that a therapist spent with the patients in group therapy in the Group Time field and enter the size of the group in the Group Size field. If an assistant led the group therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Group Asst Time field.
Note: The checkbox next to the Asst Time or Group Asst Time fields gets selected if the assistant time is more than the configured % of the total time.
If PT/OT students treat the patient under the general supervision of the therapist, you can enter the time in the
Total General Supervised Student Time field. The student time is added in the total time; however, it is not counted as billable time.
Note: For the
Total General Supervised Student Time field to appear on the
NTS Treatment template, you must select
Enable for the
PT/OT Student General Supervision preference in the
Student Settings section on the
Practice Config practice template.

The application calculates the total time from the times in each field associated with each grid. However, billable units are based on individual time.
Note: The Manual therapy and Gait training therapy grids have only the Asst Time and Time fields because these treatments are always one-on-one.
