Charges Grid

The Charges grid shows the visit code (if applicable) and any documented treatments from Chiro Single Visit, except for DME items. Note: You cannot change any charges on the Fee Sheet. You must make all documentation changes on the appropriate templates and then reopen the Fee Sheet to display the appropriate charges for that encounter. Note: If the Cpt Code column for an item displays Not Billed, it could be due to the following: The code is prevented for that payer on the Billing Configuration system template. Total Time and Units Fields

The Total fields show a total calculation of Time, Calc Units, and Billed Units for all items within the Charges grid. Total Active Visit Time displays the total time the patient was in the facility (see the Visit Time section in the Single Visit chapter). The Allowed field shows the number of units that will be billed on today’s encounter. Parent topic: Charges Grid

Entering Time for Treatments

You can document the unattended and individual time spent with a patient for each applicable code using the fields below each grid on the NTS Treatment template. If an assistant led the therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Asst Time field. You can enter the time that a therapist spent with the patients in group therapy in the Group Time field and enter the size of the group in the Group Size field. If an assistant led the group therapy for any part of the time, you can indicate that in the Group Asst Time field. Note: The checkbox next to the Asst Time or Group Asst Time fields gets selected if the assistant time is more than the configured % of the total time. If PT/OT students treat the patient under the general supervision of the therapist, you can enter the time in the Total General Supervised Student Time field. Fields on the Fee Schedule Tab

Field Description Date Range Indicates the Effective date when the fee is to begin, and the Expiration date when the fee will end. The Date Range for the specific CPT4 code must fall within the date range for the contract as defined on the General tab. You can enter multiple date ranges for a CPT4 code in cases where you need to update your contract to meet new requirements. Note: The Fee Schedule rows display in descending date order by Effective Date. The most recent dates display first. Example: 01/01/2016 and then 01/01/2000. Type Specifies the Fee for Service (FFS) as the type of charge. Note: Capitated type is not supported at this time. Non-Facility/Facility Indicates whether the reimbursement for a service performed at a facility or non-facility service location. Allowed Indicates the amount allowed by the contract for the charge.
