Open the Practice Configuration Template

Open the NTS Practice Config practice template from the Specialty Config Home system template so you can configure settings and preferences for your practice. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. On the System tab, select Specialty Config Home, and then select OK. The Specialty Config Home template opens. In the System Sidebar, select Practice Config. The NTS Practice Config practice template opens. Parent topic: Practice Configuration

Document a Canceled Visit

Select the Cancel link in the sub-navigation to open the Cancel template. To select a reason the patient did not keep the appointment (For example, “Forgot” or “Insurance issue”), select the Reason for Cancellation field. Enter any comments in the Comments field. Use the checkbox(es) under Charges to designate a charge code to be sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM for the missed appointment. Select the Sign Off checkbox to enter your name with a date and timestamp. Note: If your practice has configured the Cancel document to generate locally, the document is generated upon sign-off. Otherwise, it is sent to your offline document generator. This is configurable in the Practice Configuration practice template. Parent topic: Cancel Template

Manage PAQ Functionality for Practice Locations

On the Miscellaneous Configuration practice template, expand the Submit & Signoff panel. Submit and Signoff panel on the Miscellaneous Configuration template To enable the PAQ sign-off for practice locations, do the following in the Location Allowing PAQ Signoff section. To enable the PAQ sign-off for a location, select the desired location in the location grid. The check mark appears in the Allow column for the selected location. To enable the PAQ sign-off for all locations, select the Select All check box. The check mark appears in the Allow column for all locations. To disable the PAQ sign-off for practice locations, do the following in the Location Allowing PAQ Signoff section. To disable the PAQ sign-off for a location, select the desired location with the check mark in the location grid. The check mark disappears from the Allow column for the selected location. To disable the PAQ sign-off for all locations, clear the Select All check box. The check mark disappears from the Allow

Cancel Template

Use the Cancel template to document a canceled or no-show appointment, and to select cancel or no-show charges that will be sent directly to NextGen® Enterprise PM. Step Four of Correction Process

On the Step Four panel, you can generate the correct document, if documents have been generated for shared providers, and sign off that the documents have been processed. The documents processed step essentially closes the encounter. The system may auto-lock the encounter depending on the practice preferences.
