Document a Canceled Visit
- Select the Cancel link in the sub-navigation to open the Cancel template.
- To select a reason the patient did not keep the appointment (For example, “Forgot” or “Insurance issue”), select the Reason for Cancellation field.
- Enter any comments in the Comments field.
- Use the checkbox(es) under Charges to designate a charge code to be sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM for the missed appointment.
- Select the Sign Off checkbox to enter your name with a date and timestamp.
Note: If your practice has configured the Cancel document to generate locally, the document is generated upon sign-off. Otherwise, it is sent to your offline document generator. This is configurable in the Practice Configuration practice template.
