Remove an Appointment

You can only remove appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, not those created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Note: Removing an appointment is not the same as canceling it. Removing an appointment permanently deletes it. Select an appointment. Select Remove in the toolbar. A confirmation message Appointments appears for removal of appointments. Select Yes. Cancel an Appointment

You can only cancel appointments created in NextGen® Enterprise EHR, not those created in NextGen® Enterprise PM. You can view the canceled appointments. Select an appointment. Select Cancel Appointment in the toolbar. An Appointments cancelation confirmation window opens. To cancel the appointment, select Yes. The appointment is cancelled and removed from the appointments list. To view canceled appointments, select Appointments > Show Cancelled Appointments menu. Canceled appointments appear with a strikethrough line. Note: Appointments canceled for the current date are displayed, whether the Show Cancelled Appointments options is not selected. Delete an Appointment

You can delete an appointment for a patient from the following locations in NextGen® Enterprise PM: Appointment Book (all views except Monthly) Appointment Lookup Window Clinical History/Notes tab in the Patient Chart. Note: If it is important to record the reason for deleting an appointment, NextGen Healthcare recommends that you cancel the appointment instead of deleting it. Delete an Appointment From Appointment Book You can delete an appointment from the Appointment Book window if the appointment is no longer needed. Delete an Appointment From Appointment Lookup You can delete an appointment from the Appointment Lookup window, if the appointment is no longer needed. Cancel Group Appointments

When you cancel a group appointment, all associated individual member appointments are also automatically cancelled. A group appointment in a recurring series has a combination of linked and unlinked group appointments. You can determine the group appointment that needs to canceled. You can also cancel a group appointment shell which can be a part of recurring series or a non-recurring one. In NextGen® Enterprise PM, open the appointment book. From the Daily, Weekly List, Weekly Schedule, or Multi-View view, right-click an individual appointment that is scheduled as part of a group appointment, and then select Open > Group Appointment. The Edit Group Appointment window opens. Edit Group Appointment Before you cancel a group appointment, clear any indicators against member appointments under the Associated Member Appointments section. Cancel Integrated Appointments

When an appointment request is canceled, the recipient cannot reply to the notification. On the NextGen® Enterprise PM main toolbar, select the Mailbox button. From the list in the upper-right corner of the window, select Patient Portal. Important: The Patient Portal option does not appear in the list if your NextGen® PxP Portal license is not available or has expired. A list of patient portal folders appears in the left pane. A list of messages appears in the right pane. Under Appointments, select Inbox.The Inbox folders with new messages are bolded with the number of unread messages in parentheses. Double-click an appointment request.The Appointment Request window opens. Select Schedule Appt.The Appointment Search Ahead window opens. Based on the time slot requested by the patient, a list of available time slots is displayed. In Available Timeslots, double-click an applicable slot. To find other available time slots, change the search criteria, and then select Find.The Add Appointmen
