Managing My Phrases and Common Phrases

You can create frequently used phrases for your own use. You can also use phrases available for other users or system set phrases available for all users.

You can use the My Phrases feature to save your time to document a patient's history, exams, assessments, and plans of care by adding frequently used phrases. When the My Phrases feature is applicable for a field, the Down Arrow and Plus icons or My Phrases and Manage My Phrases links appear for that field. You can select the icons or links to open the INF MyPhrases Select and INF My Phrases Mng templates respectively.

You can also open the INF My Phrases Mng template by selecting the Manage My Phrases link appearing at the top of the templates. You can do the following to use and manage phrases:

  • Use the INF MyPhrases Select template to add the system set phrases available for all users or phrases available for you, rendering provider, or other users to the appropriate field.
  • Use the INF My Phrases Mng template to add, update, or delete your own phrases and system set phrases. You can also copy phrases from other users to your own set.

    The category of the phrase appearing on the INF My Phrases Mng template determines the templates or sections where the phrases are used. For example, phrases with the SURG categories are used on the Surgery Scheduling template.
