Quick Buttons for Patient Medical Summary Information

The Quick Buttons panel on the NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window provides you quick access to the patient's medical summary information, including automatic counts and visual indicators for various key clinical elements, and also the option to open several different clinical modules. The availability of the Quick Buttons depends on the practice-level configurations in File Maintenance. You can customize the order of Quick Buttons to suit workflow. Also, the practice can set Quick Buttons to be hidden by users if desired. Application and Patient Information

The title bar appears at the top of NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window and displays the application and patient name. When you open a module, the module name also appears on the title bar. If you open other items, such as templates, documents, or images, the item name and time stamp appear on the title bar. In case of images, the image dimensions also appear. You can display the following additional patient identifiers based on your practice preferences settings. Viewing the Desktop Layout

NextGen® Enterprise PM opens to the main desktop window, when you log on using your credentials. You can access various areas and functions of NextGen® Enterprise PM from the main desktop window. The NextGen® Enterprise PM main window comprises the following components. Customize the System Date Format

NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to customize the date format used throughout the system. The default settings are set to display the date in the following format: MM/DD/YYYY, for example, 09/10/2017. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window. Right-click the system date located on the Status bar of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application, and select Date Properties. The Date Properties window opens. To change to a user-defined setting throughout the system, select Use Custom. To change the update rate for the system date, select the up or down arrow in the Update Date/Every Min section. The default is set to update the system date every minute. You can change the setting to any rate from 1 minute to 60 minutes. Under Custom Format, select the date format to use throughout the system. For example, if you select the format Month/Day/Year, the date would appear as February 08, 2017. To accept the changes, select OK. The system displays the user-defined date format. To cancel the change
