Customize the System Date Format

NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to customize the date format used throughout the system. The default settings are set to display the date in the following format: MM/DD/YYYY, for example, 09/10/2017.

  1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window.
  2. Right-click the system date located on the Status bar of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR application, and select Date Properties.
    The Date Properties window opens.

  3. To change to a user-defined setting throughout the system, select Use Custom.
  4. To change the update rate for the system date, select the up or down arrow in the Update Date/Every Min section. The default is set to update the system date every minute. You can change the setting to any rate from 1 minute to 60 minutes.
  5. Under Custom Format, select the date format to use throughout the system.
    For example, if you select the format Month/Day/Year, the date would appear as February 08, 2017.
  6. To accept the changes, select OK.
    The system displays the user-defined date format.
  7. To cancel the changes, select Cancel.
