NextGen® Enterprise EHR Help

Application and Patient Information

The title bar appears at the top of NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window and displays the application and patient name. When you open a module, the module name also appears on the title bar. If you open other items, such as templates, documents, or images, the item name and time stamp appear on the title bar. In case of images, the image dimensions also appear. You can display the following additional patient identifiers based on your practice preferences settings. Main Menu

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main menu is located at the top of the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Main window. It contains the following options: File, Edit, View, Tools, Admin, Utilities, Window, and Help. Arrange MDI Tabs

When multiple modules are active simultaneously, you can arrange MDI tabs vertically or horizontally. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open MDI tab. Right-click the tab to move, and select New Horizontal Tab Group or New Vertical Tab Group. Note: Based on your horizontal or vertical selection, you may only view tabs in the selected mode until all tabs are returned to the original placement. Select New Horizontal Tab Group for each open tab to move to a new group in horizontal view. To return the view to one group, right-click each tab, and select Move to Previous Tab Group. Overview of the Main Window

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR main window components include the Title Bar, Main Menu, Top Toolbar, Patient Information Card, Quick Buttons panel, Encounter History/Categories view panel, and calendars. You can configure the practice preferences settings in File Maintenance to display the Multiple Document Interface (MDI) tabs and customize the system date format. NextGen® Enterprise EHR supports standard-keyboard shortcuts for several functions of the main window. Select Display Theme

You can select the display theme for the Medications module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Medications module. From the theme list, select one of the following themes: NextGen System White Display Theme Parent topic: Layout of Medications Module
