Option	Description
Show Normal (N) Results Flag	When selected, normal results are marked with a flag.
Show compressed results	When selected, additional information appears such as LOINC code, performing entity, medical director or specimen.
MU Compatible	Make the format of the results Meaningful Use (MU) compatible.
Refresh	Refresh the results display.
Print	Print the order results. A print preview is available.
Fax	Fax results to the selected phone number.
Full Screen	Toggles full screen mode on and off.
Copy	Copies selected text.
Select All	Selects all text shown in the results.
Setup	Sets up critical range results.
Patient Portal	Sends lab results to NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal. Note: This button only appears if your practice has enabled the NextGen Patient Portal function.

New Results Entry Tab

The New Results Entry tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description New Result When selected, creates a new result to associate with the selected order. Refresh Refreshes the results list. Clear Clears the results list. Delete Deletes a selected result. Save Saves the new result created here. Display Test Order Results in a Formatted View

On the Orders Summary tab select a completed test. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. Select the Formatted Results tab at the bottom of the Results panel. The results appear with the patient detail at the bottom of the Results panel. To print these details, select Print on the toolbar. Note: If you update a patient's demographic information in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Modify/Update Patient Information window, before you log out of the current session of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, this change may not be reflected in the patient's demographic information in Formatted Results. To display the updated demographic information on the Formatted Results tab, log out or exit NextGen® Enterprise EHR; and then log back on. Parent topic: Formatted Results Tab

Completed Results Tab View

From the Results tab, you can do the following: View completed lab test results by their short, long, or NextGen description in a flow sheet format. View results for all orders using the pre-defined All filter or view only results for orders displayed in a user-defined private or practice filter. Display results for similar tests together on the flow sheet using LOINC codes. Assign delegates to view confidential lab results. View or add comments for order results. Using the Results Panel

You can perform the following actions in the Results panel on the Orders Summary tab: Enter test results coming in with an interface using the Formatted Results, Grid Results, or Documents, Images, and URLs tabs. Manually enter results using the New Results Entry tab. Manually enter related documents using the New Document and Images Entry tab. View and add tracking comments. Results in Meaningful Use Format

When importing test results from an outside testing entity, you can chose to display those results in a Meaningful Use (MU) compatible format. The MU format is set by a check box on the Results pane in the Orders module. Define Critical Result Ranges

You can define a range of results for each type of test order. Then, when results are recorded for test orders that are outside of the normal range, an alert appears. You must have permissions set up in System Administrator to set up and change alert settings. On the Orders Summary tab, select an order that has results with a status of Final. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. From the Results toolbar, select Setup. The vendors list is displayed from the external system table. The entity that performed the test is the default vendor. The list is associated with a specific vendor, such as Labcorp® or Quest Diagnostics®. The vendors list is provided by a system table and is loaded with NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The list is updated, when needed, by NextGen Healthcare. Select the vendor from the Please select vendor list. A list of all result components for that vendor appears. If the vendor is not set up with any components, the Components list is empty.
