Formatted Results Tab

The Formatted Results tab provides the following toolbar options. Option Description Show Normal (N) Results Flag When selected, normal results are marked with a flag. Show compressed results When selected, additional information appears such as LOINC code, performing entity, medical director or specimen. MU Compatible Make the format of the results Meaningful Use (MU) compatible. Refresh Refresh the results display. Print Print the order results. A print preview is available. Fax Fax results to the selected phone number. Full Screen Toggles full screen mode on and off. Copy Copies selected text. Select All Selects all text shown in the results. Setup Sets up critical range results. Patient Portal Sends lab results to NextGen Enterprise Patient Portal. Display Test Results in a Grid Format

On the Orders Summary tab, select a completed test order. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow Select the Grid Results tab. View Lab Results

Before you begin You must ensure that you have the necessary access rights in System Administrator for the Orders Module. For more information on user access rights, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the latest System Administrator Guide forNextGen®Enterprise. You can view the results of a patient's laboratory tests. Additionally, you can open the Orders Module and view the order details associated with a result. For more information on the Orders Module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Orders Module User Guide forNextGen®Enterprise EHR. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. On the Quick Buttons panel, select Lab Results.The Review Patient Results window opens displaying a report of all completed laboratory tests in a flow sheet format, that includes the date and time of the specimens associated with an order collected,test name, and result for the test name. Update Order Results on the Order Management Template

You can update order results on the Order Management Template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Home Page template, in the Orders panel, select the Order Management link. The Order Management template opens. In the grid, select the order to update. The selected order details appear in the Manage Selected Orders section. Select Edit. The All Order Management template opens. All Order Management Enter the order details in the applicable fields. if you have selected the Bone X-ray (Bone Age Studies) order with the 77072 procedure code, you can add the bone age test result in the Result/report section. After making changes in the Result/report section, select Update. Note: The Update button appears when you make changes to the Interpretation or the Result details field. Display New Results Entries in the Results Panel

On the Orders Summary tab, select a completed test. To expand the Results panel, select the down arrow. Select the New Results Entry tab. The results appear with the patient detail at the bottom of the Results panel. To print these details, select Print Results on the toolbar. Note: If you are creating a new results entryfor an ordermanually, there is a 60-character limit on the Component description field. If you exceed this limit, the extra characters are truncated. View the Status of Exported Laboratory Results

After you export any laboratory results, you can view the status of exported results in the Patient Portal Document History window. A patient can view the exported results on the Home page or Inbox in NextGen® PxP Portal. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR and select a patient. Open the Orders module. On the Orders Summary tab, expand Results (reported results - formatted) and select Patient Portal History Details from the Patient Portal list. The Patient Portal Document History window opens and displays the comments associated with the results and indicates if the patient has viewed the laboratory results on the NextGen® PxP Portal Home page.
