In the Documentation panel, you can add the procedure documentation and procedure findings values for sections and sub-sections configured in the Procedure Documentation Config practice template.

  1. On the Procedure Documentation Config- practice template, expand the Documentation panel.

  2. Click Procedure and select a procedure from the list.
The procedures are configured for a specialty on the Procedure Config practice template.
  3. Select Procedure documentation or Procedure finding to configure values for a section or sub-section available in the left pane of this panel.
If you select the Procedure Findings option, the system opens a list of locations or findings documented for a procedure in the Procedure Findings panel.

Based on the selected procedure, the first list can include locations. After you select a location, the second list appears to select a finding.

  4. Select a section or sub-section from the left pane.
A navigational tab displays a short description of the section or finding.
  5. Enter a Value to appear for the section or sub-section in the run-time templates.
The value documented in the Value field fills the Short description field. The value in the Short description field appears as a navigational tab above the grid in the Documentation panel on this practice template, and on the run-time templates.
  6. Click Selection type and select any of the following options:
    • Mutually exclusive - In run time, you can select only one value from the right grid for a section or sub-section.
    • Multiple choice - In run time, you can select more than one value from the right grid for a section or sub-section.

    • Free Text - In run time, the freetext input window opens after you select the value.
    • Static - Makes the sentence concatenation unique to the specific value.
  8. If you select the Location section from the left pane, click the GET member equivalent field and select the location to map the location with the finding.
In the run-time Findings panel, the mapped location appears in the procedure findings grid below the GET so that you need not select the location on the ASC Phy Procedure Findings template.
  9. If the value is mutually exclusive, click the Next Section field and select the next section from the list.
The list includes a top-blank row to clear the selected value from the Next Section field.

In the run-time template, the system auto-selects the next section after selecting the value.

  10. If the value is required for a regulatory, registry reason, to comply with quality measures, or other reason(s), enter the reason in the Required field.
