Buttons on the Documentation Panel

The Documentation panel includes the buttons described in the table. Button Description Previous Level Moves back to the previous level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the first level content. You need to highlight a row in the grid and click the Previous Level button to view the previous level data. Next Level Moves to the next level if you have more than one level for the selected value. The button is inactive for the last level content. You need to select a row in the grid and click the Next Level button to view the next level data. In run time, the configured section and/or sub-section values appear in the right grid of the ASC Procedure Documentation and ASC Phy Procedure Findings templates. If you select a value associated with the diagnosis and procedure code, system updates the procedure, and the diagnosis description and billing code in the Procedure Billing panel after you click the Auto Billing button. Configure PRAPARE® Crystal Reports

You can configure a patient's start and stop age, diagnoses, and referral list to be included in the PRAPARE® crystal reports. Open the PRAPARE® Configuration template. Expand the PRAPARE® Crystal Report Configuration panel. To configure the start age of patients for the PRAPARE® crystal reports, click the Start age: field, select the required age and then click OK To configure the stop age of patients for the PRAPARE® crystal reports, click the Stop age: field, select the required age and then click OK. To configure diagnosis data in the PRAPARE® crystal reports, click the Dx Groups/Reference Systems link. The diagnosis data for PRAPARE® crystal report is configurable using the PR Crystal Report reference system. Generate Consent Report - Procedure Panel

In the Patient Consent section: Click the Consent link. The Consent Procedures template opens. Document Provider, Consent By, Type of Procedure, Date and appropriate consent information on the Consent Procedures template. Add additional consent data in the Comments field. Click Save & Close. The system populates the corresponding check boxes and fields in the Patient Consent section. Note: You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. Set My Custom Plan as the Practice Default

Note: In NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine, 8.3 to 8.3.5, the Framework Content and Dx Groups Reference Systems system templates are used to display the My Custom Plan template in the My Plan tab. Framework Content Template

The Framework Content system template enables you to customize various elements of navigation and configure the content for certain panels at the specialty, practice, and provider levels. Though NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine contains default configurations on the Framework Content system template, you can set up configurations at the practice and provider levels. Since the application is delivered with the default setup for each specialty, it is acceptable to select only a specialty on the system template. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends that you apply the configurations at the specialty level. You must avoid or limit the use of provider-based configurations, because it is difficult to maintain a large number of setups. This is particularly important for users with a large number of providers. Document with Customized Screening Tools

You can document customized screening tools created using Custom Screening Tool Builder from the Screening Tools template. Before you begin Create a customized screening tool. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Customized Screening Tool Configuration Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. In the navigation bar, select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. In the Screening Tools Available section, select the custom screening tool. The Custom Screenings window opens displaying the tool name in the Screening/Questionnaire field. Custom Screenings Select the questions and enter the answers that the patient provides. The documented questions and answers appear in the This Visit Screening/Questionnaire grid. Select interpretation and enter the score. Select Save & Close.
