Document the Pre-Procedure Care Details in the Pre-Procedure Care Panel

In the Patient Consent section enter the required details to generate the Consent Report. In the Patient Bill of Rights section enter the required details to generate Patient Bill of Rights report. In the Language section enter the required details. Select appropriate options to complete the Pre-procedure Care Checklist. Select applicable check boxes to document the Patient Personal Effects. Patient Personal Effects In the Pre-Procedure Labs section: Do one of the following: If Blood Sugar lab was performed, enter result and time in the Result and today at fields respectively. Select the N/A check box, if the Blood Sugar test was not performed. Do one of the following: If the INR lab was performed, enter result, date, and time when the test was performed in the Result, Date and Time fields respectively. Generate a Patient Consent

In the Patient Consent section, Click Consent by and select the name of the person providing the consent. Select the appropriate check boxes to document the consent details. If you want to select all the check boxes in this section, select the Check all check box. Enter any Comments on the patient consent. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The Consent link opens the Consent - Procedures template to document additional details on the consent and the associated procedures. The system fills the fields in the Consent - Procedures template automatically based on the corresponding data entered in the Pre-Procedure Care panel. Generate a Consent Note

You can generate a consent note. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select Consent. The Consent - Procedures template opens. Enter values in the fields such as Provider name, Consent by, Type of procedure, and Procedure date. Enter comments as required in the Comments field. To generate the consent note with the details documented in the Consent - Procedures template, select the Consent button in the Assessment / Plan panel. Generate a Consent Report

On the SOAP template, click the Procedures link. The Procedures template opens. Click Consent. The Consent - Procedures template opens. Consent - Procedures Select the name of the provider. Select the relation of the person who gives the consent. Select the procedure type and the procedure date. To schedule the procedure within a short time, select To be scheduled in the near future. To enter a saved default set, click Quick Load and Save. Select the appropriate check boxes of the risks and benefits that are related to the procedure. To enter risks other than the listed check boxes, select Other. Select the appropriate check boxes for the decision taken after having discussion with the consented person. Document the Patient's Discharge Information

Enter appropriate patient discharge information in the applicable fields. For Patient left facility with, the Name and Relationship fields populate with data if documented in Verified patient has a ride home in the Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Preprocedure template. Any changes made to the Patient left facility with data will not impact the data in the Verified patient has a ride home fields. In the Patient Personal Effects section, select the applicable check boxes and options to indicate the patient's belongings are returned. Note: The values entered in the Patient Personal Effects section in the Pre-Procedure Care panel of the ASC - Preprocedure template appear in the Discharge Documentation panel. In the ASC Quality Reporting section: Select appropriate options if the patient experienced any adverse events. Select appropriate options to indicate IV antibx SSI prophylaxis status. Document the Patient Pre-Procedure Prep Details

Click Prep Type and select an appropriate prep type from the list. If the options are not appropriate for selection, double-click the top blank row in the list and enter the prep type in the Prep Type field. Enter any Comments on the pre-procedure prep given to the patient. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Getting Started User Guide forNextGen®Adaptive Content Engine. The Clear button clears the data from the fields. To sort the phrases in the list, select the Summary or Phrase option and then click the My Phrases link. Click Add. The data appears in the grid.
