Generate the Patient Bill of Rights

In the Patient Bill of Rights section, Click the Generate Patient Bill of Rights link to open the document listing the patient's rights during the procedure. You can print the document as a reference for the patient. Close the document. Select Check all check box to auto-select the following check boxes: Received Patient Bill of Rights Understands Patient Bill of Rights You can clear the Check all check box and select either Received Patient Bill of Rights or Understands Patient Bill of Rights check box, as appropriate. Generate Consent Report - Procedure Panel

In the Patient Consent section: Click the Consent link. The Consent Procedures template opens. Document Provider, Consent By, Type of Procedure, Date and appropriate consent information on the Consent Procedures template. Add additional consent data in the Comments field. Click Save & Close. The system populates the corresponding check boxes and fields in the Patient Consent section. Note: You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. Document the Pre-Procedure Care Panel on the ASC - Pre admission Template

The Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Pre admission template enables you to document patient consent, bill of rights, language preferred by the patient to communicate, and pre-procedure care checklist. Pre-Procedure Care If the case ID of the encounters is identical, the data entered in this panel on the ASC - Pre admission template appears in the corresponding fields of the Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Preprocedure template. Document the Pre-Procedure Care Details in the Pre-Procedure Care Panel

In the Patient Consent section enter the required details to generate the Consent Report. In the Patient Bill of Rights section enter the required details to generate Patient Bill of Rights report. In the Language section enter the required details. Select appropriate options to complete the Pre-procedure Care Checklist. Select applicable check boxes to document the Patient Personal Effects. Patient Personal Effects In the Pre-Procedure Labs section: Do one of the following: If Blood Sugar lab was performed, enter result and time in the Result and today at fields respectively. Select the N/A check box, if the Blood Sugar test was not performed. Do one of the following: If the INR lab was performed, enter result, date, and time when the test was performed in the Result, Date and Time fields respectively. Document the Patient's Discharge Information

Enter appropriate patient discharge information in the applicable fields. For Patient left facility with, the Name and Relationship fields populate with data if documented in Verified patient has a ride home in the Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Preprocedure template. Any changes made to the Patient left facility with data will not impact the data in the Verified patient has a ride home fields. In the Patient Personal Effects section, select the applicable check boxes and options to indicate the patient's belongings are returned. Note: The values entered in the Patient Personal Effects section in the Pre-Procedure Care panel of the ASC - Preprocedure template appear in the Discharge Documentation panel. In the ASC Quality Reporting section: Select appropriate options if the patient experienced any adverse events. Select appropriate options to indicate IV antibx SSI prophylaxis status. Pre-Procedure Evaluation Panel on the ASC - Physician Procedure Template

The Pre-procedure Evaluation panel enables you to view and add patient's physical exam findings and generate the ASC Chart Note document after review and signoff. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments.
