Document Information with Other Screening Tools

You can document information using other screening tools that are not configured to open as websites or templates using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. For example, Intake. Select Navigation, and then select Screening Tools. The Screening Tools template opens. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. Note: When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, the All option is selected by default, and all the screening tools appear on theScreening Tools template. Select a screening tool that is not configured to open as a website or template. Enter the following information: Score Severity or interpretation Comments Major depressive disorder pre-treatment classification Select Add. You can document information in the screening tools that open as templates using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. You can document information in the screening tools that open as websites using the Screening Tools template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient encounter, and open a template. To view the screening tools, do one of the following: To view the screening tools configured for the selected specialty, select Current Specialty. To view all the screening tools, select All. In the Screening Tools Available panel, select a screening tool with the W indicator. The associated screening tool website opens. Document details provided by the patient. Viewing Screening Tools

You can document details provided by the patient in all the screening and assessment tools configured by the practice during a patient encounter. Screening tools that appear on the Screening Tools template for a selected specialty in an encounter, vary based on the configuration. When you do not select a specialty for an encounter, all the screening tools automatically appear on the Screening Tools template. You can select the Current Specialty or All option to filter the screening tools on the Screening Tools template. The following indicators appear adjacent to the screening tools and indicate whether the screening tool opens as a template or a website. An asterisk * indicates that the screening tool is used during the current encounter. The letter T indicates that the screening tool opens as a template. The letter W indicates that the screening tool opens a website. Note: You can hide a screening tool that is configured to open as a website. For more information on screening tools l

Create a Customized Screening Tool

You can create a customized screening tool on the Custom Screening Tool Builder system template. Open the Custom Screening Tool Builder template. In the Step 1 - Name That Tool section, type a tool name for that tool. To select a specialty, do one of the following: To configure a screening tool for all specialties, select All. To configure a screening tool for specific specialties, select Custom, and then select the desired specialties on the Specialty selection window. Custom Screening Tool Builder In Interpretation, select the field type, and configure the interpretations. Note: The Configure text link appears when Picklist (only) or Free text/Picklist option is selected. Your data on Custom Screening Tool Builder template gets reflected on the Screening Tool Log Configuration template. Under Score, select the field type, and click Add. Open Custom Screening Tool Builder

You can use the Custom Screening Tool Builder system template to create or update customized screening tool. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select All On the System tab, select Custom Screening Tool Builder. Click OK. The Custom Screening Tool Builder template opens.
