OB Test Name Configuration

The OB Test Name Configuration template comprises two panels, OB Group and OB Test Name. The OB Group names present on the template are available as obstetric group panels on the Prenatal Detail template. The obstetric group of panels are: Initial Orders 24-28 Week Orders 32-37 Week Orders Genetic Screening and Testing Maternal Carrier Screening Fetal (Aneuploidy) Chromosomal Testing Ultrasound Orders Optional Orders You can configure the obstetric lab test name, test code, and test description. The configured obstetric lab test names appear in the respective obstetric group panel. Access OB Test Name Configuration You can access the OB Test Name configuration template from the File menu. Documenting Obstetrics Gestational Orders

You can document information in the OB Gestational Orders template. You can open the OB Gestational Orders template from thePrenatal Detail > Order Labs > OBGYN Lab Master > Labs > Orders by Gestational Week. The lab results fills the Order Management template, Lab Results - Obstetrics template, the Order module, and the master document. Before using the OB Gestational Orders template, you have to select the OB Prenatal- Initial visit type and enter the applicable information in the Gestational Age tab. Obstetrics Home Page Template

You can review the historical information of the patient on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. The practice can customize the panels displayed on the Home Page - Obstetrics template. The following table describes the panels on the template. Panel Description General Indicates if the patient is new or an established patient for the current encounter. Problem List Lists the patient's ongoing clinical problems and chronic conditions from past encounters. Summary Displays the date, gestational age (GA), progress notes, and provider information for the patient. On the Summary panel, you can open the OB Flowsheet comments using the OB Flowsheet Progress Notes link. Allergies Lists the allergies associated with the patient. Medications Displays the patient's medications documented in the Medications module by the intake staff. Stage Performing Entities in the Order Module

You can place a lab order and update its result using the Order module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module.The Order Module opens. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs. Select New > Lab Order.The Create New Lab Order template opens. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, select Search All.The Search Tests window opens. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All. ABO Grouping Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK. Select Save. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry. Manage Orders Using Order Management

You can document order results and add additional details in the Order Management template. For more information on Order Management, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Management.The Order Management window opens. Select the order to be updated, and then select Edit.The All Order Management window opens. Enter the details. In the Result/report section, select the Received or Completed checkbox.The Details button appears when the ordered test is configured and included in Manage Custom Links. Select Details. Enter the details in the Interpretation and Result details fields. Select Save, and then select Close.The order details are available on the Order Managem

Review Optional Orders

You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab order in the Optional Orders panel. You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel.The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box.
