Stage Performing Entities in the Order Module

You can place a lab order and update its result using the Order module.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter.
3. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal.
4. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module.
   The Order Module opens.
5. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs.
6. Select New > Lab Order.
   The Create New Lab Order template opens.
7. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp.
8. In the Select Tests section, select Search All.
   The Search Tests window opens.
9. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All.
   ABO Grouping
10. Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK.
11. Select Save.
12. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry.
13. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry.
14. In the Component field, for example, enter ABO Grouping.
15. In the Component field, for example, enter ABO Grouping.
16. In the Result field, for example, enter AB.
17. Select Save.
18. Select the Results tab.
19. Select Refresh.
    The ABO Grouping lab result appears.
