Components of the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics Template

You can document the necessary information about the prenatal details. You can document the necessary information about prenatal encounters and review data from previous encounters to ensure safe and effective care for a pregnant woman and her baby on the Prenatal Detail - Obstetrics template. The following panels allows you to document the necessary information during a prenatal visit: General OB Problems Prenatal Visits Assessment/Plan Orders Diagnostic Studies The obstetric group of panels are used for orders: Initial Orders 24-28 Week Orders 32-37 Week Orders Genetic Screening and Testing Maternal Carrier Screening Fetal (Aneuploidy) Chromosomal Testing Ultrasound Orders Optional Orders You can view telephone calls and other communications outside of visits in the Communication panel. Add Obstetric Test Names

The obstetric lab test name added on the OB Test Name Configuration template is available in the respective obstetric group panel on the Prenatal Detail template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select the Practice tab. To open the OB Test Name Configuration template, select OB Test Name Configuration, and click OK. To view the configured obstetric group panel names, select the Show All check box. To add an obstetric test name in the OB Group panel, select an OB Group. The existing test names associated with the obstetrics group appear in the grid. OB Group In Test Name, provide an appropriate name. Click Add. The test name is added to the selected OB Group. Add Test Types You can add the test type and test description for an obstetric test name. Update Test Type You can update the details for test type and test description of an obstetric test name. Stage Performing Entities in the Order Module

You can place a lab order and update its result using the Order module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module.The Order Module opens. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs. Select New > Lab Order.The Create New Lab Order template opens. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, select Search All.The Search Tests window opens. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All. ABO Grouping Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK. Select Save. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry. The OB Test Name Configuration practice template enables you to configure the test names related to Obstetrics. OB Test Name Configuration You can configure the obstetric test names on the OB Test Name Configuration practice template. The configured test names appear on the Prenatal Detail template. View the OB Group Panel Details

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient record and create an encounter. Open the Intake template, and then select Specialty as Obstetrics and Visit Type as OB Prenatal. Click the Gestational Age tab. To add an last menstrual period, in the LMP field, select a date from the previous month. Click the Prenatal Detail tab. The Prenatal Detail template opens. Expand the Initial Orders panel. The Obtained date and Result associated with the lab order appear. You can expand the obstetric group of panels to view the associated lab orders. Review Ultrasound Orders

You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab orders in the Ultrasound Orders panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Ultrasound Orders panel.The orders placed through the Diagnostic Studies panel appear in the grid. Ultrasound Orders To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. The reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. To update the order obtained interval date range, select the row and update the details on the Edit Test Interval window.
