Stage Performing Entities in the Order Module
You can place a lab order and update its result using the Order module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module.The Order Module opens. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs. Select New > Lab Order.The Create New Lab Order template opens. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, select Search All.The Search Tests window opens. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All. ABO Grouping Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK. Select Save. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry. In the Component field, for example, enter ABO Grouping. In the Component field, for example, enter ABO Grouping. In the Result field, for example, enter AB. Select

Add Obstetric Test Names
The obstetric lab test name added on the OB Test Name Configuration template is available in the respective obstetric group panel on the Prenatal Detail template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select the Practice tab. To open the OB Test Name Configuration template, select OB Test Name Configuration, and click OK. To view the configured obstetric group panel names, select the Show All check box. To add an obstetric test name in the OB Group panel, select an OB Group. The existing test names associated with the obstetrics group appear in the grid. OB Group In Test Name, provide an appropriate name. Click Add. The test name is added to the selected OB Group. Add Test Types You can add the test type and test description for an obstetric test name. Update Test Type You can update the details for test type and test description of an obstetric test name. Review Optional Orders
You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab order in the Optional Orders panel. You can place orders for the tests in the Optional Orders panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Optional Orders panel.The associated lab orders appear in the grid. Double-click the test name to place the order through Historical Test - Quick Entry template. To review a single lab order result, do the following: Select the row where the lab order result is available. The Edit Test Interval window opens. Select the Reviewed check box, and then select Save & Close. The reviewed check mark appears. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed check box. Review Obstetric Lab Orders
You can review the obstetric lab order results individually or collectively. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. Open the Prenatal Detail template, and then expand the Initial Orders panel.The lab orders associated with the Obtained Interval date range appear in the grid. To review a single lab order result, select the row where the lab order result is available.The Edit Test Interval window opens when the lab order result is available in the grid. Select the Reviewed checkbox, and then select Save & Close.The reviewed check mark appears in the Initial Order panel grid for the selected lab order. To review all lab orders with results, select the Reviewed checkbox.The reviewed check mark appears for all orders with results. Review Ultrasound Orders
You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab orders in the Ultrasound Orders panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the Ultrasound Orders panel.The orders placed through the Diagnostic Studies panel appear in the grid. You can review lab results for the available obstetric lab order in the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel. You can place orders for the tests in the Fetal Chromosomal Testing panel during any time of pregnancy. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter.
