Access OB Test Name Configuration

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select the Practice tab. Add Test Types

For each obstetric test name, you can add the appropriate lab or radiology name and its description. You can add multiple test types to a test name. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. From the Show section, select All. Select the Practice tab. To open the OB Test Name Configuration template, select OB Test Name Configuration, and click OK. In the OB Test Name panel, select an item under OB Group and Test Name. OB Test Name In Test type, select a test type. To add a description for the test, click Test description.The OB Labs Radiology window opens. Select the appropriate description, and then click OK.The selected test description and the associated test code appear. Click Add.The OB group, test name, test description, and test code details are added to the Test Equivalents grid. To add another record, click Clear All and add the details. View the OB Group Panel Details

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient record and create an encounter. Open the Intake template, and then select Specialty as Obstetrics and Visit Type as OB Prenatal. Click the Gestational Age tab. To add an last menstrual period, in the LMP field, select a date from the previous month. Click the Prenatal Detail tab. The Prenatal Detail template opens. Expand the Initial Orders panel. The Obtained date and Result associated with the lab order appear. You can expand the obstetric group of panels to view the associated lab orders. Stage Performing Entities in the Order Module

You can place a lab order and update its result using the Order module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a female adult patient record, and then create an encounter. On the Intake template, and then select the specialty as Obstetrics and visit type as OB Prenatal. On the Prenatal Detail template, select Order Module.The Order Module opens. In the Orders Summary tab, select Labs. Select New > Lab Order.The Create New Lab Order template opens. In the Performing Entity list, select Labcorp. In the Select Tests section, select Search All.The Search Tests window opens. In Test description, enter a description of the test, and then select Find All. ABO Grouping Select ABO Grouping, and then select OK. Select Save. Expand the Results panel, and then select New Results Entry. To enter the collection date, select Coll. Date Entry. Remove Test Type

Open the OB Test Name Configuration template. In the OB Test Name panel, select the record you need to remove from the Test Equivalents grid. Click Remove. Update Test Type

Open the OB Test Name Configuration template. In the OB Test Name panel, select the record you need to update in the Test Equivalents grid. The test type and test description are available for update. Modify the values as required, and click Update. The updated values appear in the Test Equivalents grid. Save and close the template.
