View Portal Messages

Before you begin

For NextGen® Enterprise messages to reach NextGen® PxP Portal, you must ensure the following in Site Generator:
  • Patient Messaging online solution is active
  • Provider's are configured in Administrator Setup/Access
  • Location is configured in Interface Setup

The last three months messages are displayed by default.

  1. On the main toolbar, select the Inbox button.
    The Workflow window opens.
  2. Select the Patient Portal tab.
    The Communications, Prescriptions, Appointments, and Online Forms folders appear in the left pane. The messages appear in the right pane.
  3. Optional: To view all the communication sent and received for the selected patient, select Patient-Specific View.
  4. To view specific timeline messages that are older than three months, select from the Display list.
