NextGen® PxP Portal

The NextGen® PxP Portal messages window opens in the Patient Portal tab in the Workflow module. This window provides the following message categories to manage correspondence of patients enrolled in NextGen® PxP Portal.
  • Communications. Enables you to view, send, draft (save unsent messages), and respond to patient's messages.
  • Prescriptions. Enables you to view and respond to patient's prescription requests.
  • Appointments. Enables you to view and respond to patient's appointment requests.
  • Online Forms. Enables you to review and import patient's completed online forms.

You can also add these items to a patient’s chart.

To view all communication sent and received through NextGen® PxP Portal in one view for the selected patient, you can select the Patient-Specific toggle. The count of unread or unsent messages in the Communications, Prescriptions, and Appointments folders refreshes every time you switch between full view and patient-specific view.

If you are a delegate for a user or a provider, you can sign off and complete the NextGen® PxP Portal tasks, such as scheduling appointments on behalf of the user or provider.
