You can document a patient's contact details, generate the patient contact summary document, and generate the contact letter.
You can use the Patient Contact template to document the communication details with a patient. You can also assign tasks to the provider or any other user to complete the action items.
- On the Home template, click the Patient Contact link, and select Patient Contact in the list.
The
Patient Contact template opens.
- In the Chart Information section, enter the chart details.
- In the Provider Information section, click the Clinical Staff field, and select the name of the staff on the staff window.
Note: The Rendering Prov field is automatically filled with the data from the login details, and the Provider field is filled while documenting the chart details. You can change the provider names.
- In the Med Request/Refill section, select the appropriate options for medication request and refill of medicines.
- To create tasks for medication request and refill and assign them to the desired user, click the task
icon.
Note: In the blank field, you can enter the name of the user to whom the task is assigned.
- In the Medications and Allergies sections, review the details in the grid, and select the Reviewed check box.
Note: These grids display the details documented on the Intake template. You can document additional details or remove the details. If there are no medications or allergies, select the None check box.
- To create tasks and assign them to the desired provider and staff, click the Task Provider
or Task Staff
icon.
Note: In Tasked To? and Clinical Office User?, you can enter the name of the provider and staff to whom the tasks are assigned.
- To add any additional details, enter the details in the Message field, and click Add Message.
The message is added in the Message field based on the data documented on this template. You can enter additional messages.
The message grid displays the added details.
- Select the Template Complete check box.
The
Admin Override button and the
Create Document icon are enabled, and the other fields are disabled. The
Patient Contact Summary document is generated.
Note: You can also click the Create Document icon to generate the Patient Contact Summary document again.
- To edit the values in the disabled fields, click Admin Override.
Note: You can configure the
Admin Override button using the
Admin Override panel on the
Practice Configuration template.
