Enter the Source, Medication, Lot Number and Quantity, using manual entry or barcode scanning.
Select the Clear button to the right of the medication information fields.
A window prompts you to confirm that you want to waste the medication.
Select Yes.
The MLT RFWpicklist opens with reasons for the waste.
Select the reason for waste and click OK.
The fields clear and the medication is marked as wasted and removed from inventory.
To re-enter medication and administration information for the new medication lot number used, follow the steps under Documenting Dispensed Medications.
