PAQ Items

For items in the PAQ, you can perform: View items not ready for sign-off. Accept an item and sign-off on it with or without actions. Assign other users to sign off the document. Add comments. Reject an item. Reassign an item. Create a task for an item. Send documents to NextGen® PxP Portal. Place the patient on a recall list that is automatically sent to NextGen® Enterprise PM. View Provider Signoff Details from Encounter History

You can view the current signoff details and comments from the previous provider for a pending, rejected, or signed off PAQ item. You can add new provider signoff comments only if the selected item is signed off or rejected. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and select a patient from the Patient Lookup window. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list.A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select Chart.The Encounter History tab opens, with the item selected is attached to. Select the button. Select the item to view the current signoff details and comments, and select the button. Select Provider Sign-off Details.The Provider Sign-off Details window opens. The window shows the current signoff status, the rendering provider, the reassigned provider, if applicable, and comments. Assign NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item

You can assign an NextGen® Enterprise EHR Task for a PAQ Item. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list. A preview of the item is displayed in the viewing pane. Select + To Do in the toolbar. The New EHR Task window opens. To change the Due Date from today, select the calendar icon, and then select a different date. From the Priority list, select High, Normal (default) , or Low. To add recipients to the task, select Add available next to Assign To. The Select Task Recipients window opens. If you do not select a recipient for the task you are creating, the task assigned to you. To change the Subject from the name of the item type, enter the text in the subject field. You can enter up to 30 characters. To associate a patient with the task, select Add next to Re: Patient to display the Patient Lookup window. Select the patient in the Re: Patient. Sign off PAQ Items with Actions

When you sign off a pending PAQ item, you can also execute saved actions or create new actions. You can save the actions for future use. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Workflow module. Select the Provider Approval Queue tab. In the Pending tab, select an item from the list. In the Items list, you can select or deselect all the items together using Select All check box. If you make a selection in either Pending or Rejected tab, the selection is saved for the other tab. You have to make separate selection for History tab. A preview of the item appears in the viewing pane. Information about the selected item appears beneath the list of items in the left pane. To display lab results in a different view, select one of the following beneath the results: Formatted Results Grid results Documents, images, or URLs To view the item in full on your screen, select Full Screen in the Workflow toolbar. Provider Approval Queue

To use the PAQ, you must enable it first and set up the provider assignment and relationship, required signoff items, and operations rights in the System Administrator application. As a provider or delegate, you can access the PAQ from the Workflow module. Note: A patient Inclusion or Exclusion List may restrict your access to PAQ items. If you are a workflow delegate for another user or provider, you may not be able to access the same PAQ items as that person. If you do not have access to a patient, the Restricted message appears under the Patient and Description columns. Overview of the Provider Approval Queue

You can use the Provider Approval Queue (PAQ) in NextGen® Mobile to review and resolve PAQ items received from NextGen® Enterprise EHR. You can view PAQ items by selecting PAQ on the Hub view or from the job list. You can sort the list to switch between newest or oldest items. You can use the PAQ filters to view the required items. Note: The PAQ window is available only if the PAQ is configured for the clinic’s NextGen® Enterprise EHR. NextGen® Mobile supports the following PAQ items: Lab orders NextGen® Enterprise EHR documents Images NextGen® Document Management scanned items SAP® Crystal Reports® You can view a PAQ item, and do the following: Sign off on the item Open the patient chart from the item Reject or reassign the item Add a note to the item Create tasks for yourself or other users from the item Note: You cannot create tasks for reports created with SAP® Crystal Reports®software.
