The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) allows you to update existing descriptions of patient images with the finding name and region description when they get attached to findings. The image description for each finding is unique. The finding with the same name and region is updated as Finding Name - Region Description(x) , where x increases the image description starting from 2. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Encounter History or Categories tab, select any image. The image opens. On the main toolbar, select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the Image Description, select the Save image as, and select OK. The image is saved to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the GET component. The GET component window opens. A new Images pane appears on the left side of the tool and enables you to associate images and findings more easily into the workflow. The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enable the document macro{grp_get_exam_data} to filter the finding images by Reason for Visit and enable multiple images relate to a single finding to appear in a document. You can generate a separate document for each reason for visit or procedure, and the Reason For Visit column is available in the document macro. As a result, the images from all the procedures are displayed on all the individual procedure documents. NextGen® Enterprise EHR use templates to record and store patient demographic and medical information electronically. Templates provide a simple way to enter medical information and compile patient records. All of the data entered into a template can later be used for statistical reports, document generation, and further review of the patient's information. NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers a set of predefined templates known as NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and enables the creation of user-defined templates by system administrators. Based on the setup of a specific template or trigger, some workflows may follow those in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules (for example, Medications, Procedures, Problems), and some may be specific to the template. Using Graphical Exam Tool (GET) in NextGen® Enterprise EHR enables you to annotate an image, manage reason for visits, attach and associate images to a finding, integrate document, and update existing descriptions. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. The findings and exam tools are displayed for the selected location and provider in GET component. Note: The GET template can be opened in NextGen® Enterprise EHR without selecting the Reason for Visit. From the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the reason for visit that you want to attach the finding. To change profile settings, select Settings from the Options and Settings Popup Menu . The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Note: To edit profile settings, you must have the Operations Right for Administration > Edit EHR Component Profiles enabled in the System Administrator. The findings grid displays the region or finding level diagnosis codes when you annotate a region in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Only one diagnosis code is automatically selected for a single finding. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and then select Show Findings Grid. The findings grid pane appears. In the FINDINGS menu pane, select the finding, and annotate a region. When a region is selected, the Dx Code column is updated in the Findings Grid. Note: The GET validates the appropriate ICD-9 or ICD-10 code, based on encounter date. If there is a default diagnosis code assigned for the finding level, it is overwritten by the region mapped diagnosis code and the diagnosis code is automatically updated to the new regions code. The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) in the Findings panel allows you to capture and save images, view follow-up items, and modify various settings for ease of use. The top-right side of the GET includes buttons as described in the table. Button Tooltip Action or Display Follow Up Items Click to display follow-up items. If the findings in the GET grid are flagged, the number of flagged (follow up) items appears on the button. Acquire Images from Scanner or Camera Select a finding on the static illustration or in the GET grid and click to display video device. The camera button allows you to capture images from a scanner or camera. The images save as .bmp file. Click OK. The image appears on the left pane, below the Findings section. Save Annotated Image to Chart Click to save the annotated image to patient chart. Options and Settings Popup Menu Click to display sub-menu for additional settings.
