Annotate an Image

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. The findings and exam tools are displayed for the selected location and provider in GET component. Note: The GET template can be opened in NextGen® Enterprise EHR without selecting the Reason for Visit. From the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the reason for visit that you want to attach the finding. To change profile settings, select Settings from the Options and Settings Popup Menu . The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Note: To edit profile settings, you must have the Operations Right for Administration > Edit EHR Component Profiles enabled in the System Administrator. Select the tab that contains the image you want to annotate first. The tab for the first image appears by default. Adjust the view or manipulate the image using the image toolbar

Associate Multiple Images from the Finding Images

The Finding Images feature enables you to attach an image to each finding. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create a encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and select Finding Images. The Finding Images window opens. From the IMAGES pane, drag an image to a FINDING and repeat as needed. As images are added to the Finding, the image count displays as 1 of x, 2 of x, and so on (where x is the total number of images). The format for the description is as follows: Finding Name - Region Description( x. y) where x represents the sequential number of multiple images sets and y represents the image number in the set. For example, Acne-R120(1.1), Acne-R120(1.2), Acne-R120(1.3), Acne-R121(2.1), Acne-R121(2.2), Acne-R121(2.3), and so on. Note: Select the

Associate Multiple Images from the Findings Data Grid

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. Right-click the findings in the Findings Data Grid, and select Attach Image. The Select Image window opens. Select the image and select Open. The image is added to the Photo section with the following format: Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). You can add multiple images to the Photo section. In the Photo section, you can perform the following: Select the Original icon to view and zoom the image. Select the Manage Images icon to move images up, down, and delete. Select the Close icon to close the image. On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR toolbar, select Save. Associate Multiple Images to a Finding

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enables you to associate multiple images to a single finding. When associating multiple images to a single finding, each associated image must have unique image description. The image description is automatically assigned based on the specific numbering format. You can associate multiple images to findings in the following ways: Associate multiple images to a finding from the finding images. Associate Multiple Images from the Images Pane

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Top Toolbar, select the Images module and add images to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and then select Show Findings Images. From the IMAGE pane, select the Images check box, select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. The selected images no longer appear on the IMAGES pane. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. An icon appears in the Findings Data Grid row denoting that multiple images are attached to the finding. The Photo section of the GET component appears. The image is added to the Photo section with the following format: Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). Add Additional Images to a Finding

You can attach a different image to the finding. Each attached image has a unique name. If you attach an image that was saved to the patient's chart, its name is retained, but you can assign another name. If you attach an image from your file system or a web cam/video device, the GET names it as finding name - location, for example: Polyp - Ascending Colon. If you attach an image that has the same name (description) as another image attached to a different finding, the name is followed by a number in parentheses. For example: Polyp - Ascending Colon, Polyp - Ascending Colon (2), and Polyp - Ascending Colon (3). In GET, click the Options and Settings Popup Menu button and select Finding Images from the menu. Findings The Finding Images window opens. Finding Images From the VIEW list, select one of the following: Patient's Chart The available images in the chart appear in the left pane of the Finding Images window. Image Files Click the Browse button. The Browse for Folder window opens.
