Update Existing Descriptions

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) allows you to update existing descriptions of patient images with the finding name and region description when they get attached to findings. The image description for each finding is unique. The finding with the same name and region is updated as Finding Name - Region Description(x) , where x increases the image description starting from 2. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Encounter History or Categories tab, select any image. The image opens. On the main toolbar, select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the Image Description, select the Save image as, and select OK. The image is saved to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the GET component. The GET component window opens. Associate Multiple Images to a Finding

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enables you to associate multiple images to a single finding. When associating multiple images to a single finding, each associated image must have unique image description. The image description is automatically assigned based on the specific numbering format. Graphical Exam Tool Annotations

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) enables you to: Place annotations on images to document the location of findings. The placement of the annotations is converted into text and captured as an attribute of the finding. The attributes are saved to the patient's chart. For example, a dermatologist can place findings for cancer on an image. The attributes related to each finding can include size, color, location, or description. Attach a finding to a chief complaint or reason for visit. You can attach multiple findings to different reasons for visit. Mark a finding for follow-up and create a to-do task for the finding. Attach an image (photo or drawing) to a finding. The image can be from the provider's file system or from the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can capture an image from a web cam or other video device for attachment to the finding. Create and update a lab, radiology, or immunizations order for a finding. Integrate a Document Macro to Filter Finding Images

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter and open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. In the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the Menu icon, and then select Manage Reasons for Visit. The Reasons for Visit window opens. From the list at the bottom of the window, select the reason and select Add. From the IMAGES panes, select the Images check box, select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. An icon appears in the Findings Data Grid row denoting that multiple images are attached to the finding. On the NextGen® Enterprise EHR toolbar, select Save. All the images saved to the patient's chart are renamed to the image description that is Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). From the Categories tab, open the document that contains the GET images and select Generate. The generated document displays the

Graphical Exam Tool (GET)

NextGen® Enterprise EHR use templates to record and store patient demographic and medical information electronically. Templates provide a simple way to enter medical information and compile patient records. All of the data entered into a template can later be used for statistical reports, document generation, and further review of the patient's information. NextGen® Enterprise EHR offers a set of predefined templates known as NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine and enables the creation of user-defined templates by system administrators. Based on the setup of a specific template or trigger, some workflows may follow those in the NextGen® Enterprise EHR modules (for example, Medications, Procedures, Problems), and some may be specific to the template. Create a Document Macro in the Document Builder

From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Menu bar, select Tools and select Document Builder. The Document Builder TX Text Logon window opens. Go to Document Builder TX Text. The NextGen Document Builder TX Text main window opens. From the File menu, select New and select Blank Document. The Blank Document opens. On the Menu bar, select Tools and select Macro Builder. The Macro Builder window opens. Select the Create New Macro icon, select Summary Macro > Graphical Exam > Graph Exam Images. The macro creating or editing window opens. In the General section, select the following: Enter the Macro name. Select Horizontal from the Table Layout list. Select AutoFitColumn from the Image Layout list.
