Annotate an Image

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter from the Encounter History or create an encounter. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. The findings and exam tools are displayed for the selected location and provider in GET component. Note: The GET template can be opened in NextGen® Enterprise EHR without selecting the Reason for Visit. From the REASON FOR VISIT pane, select the reason for visit that you want to attach the finding. To change profile settings, select Settings from the Options and Settings Popup Menu . The Graphical Exam Tool - Settings window opens. Note: To edit profile settings, you must have the Operations Right for Administration > Edit EHR Component Profiles enabled in the System Administrator. Select the tab that contains the image you want to annotate first. The tab for the first image appears by default. Adjust the view or manipulate the image using the image toolbar

Create a Document Macro in the Document Builder

From the NextGen® Enterprise EHR Menu bar, select Tools and select Document Builder. The Document Builder TX Text Logon window opens. Go to Document Builder TX Text. The NextGen Document Builder TX Text main window opens. From the File menu, select New and select Blank Document. The Blank Document opens. On the Menu bar, select Tools and select Macro Builder. The Macro Builder window opens. Select the Create New Macro icon, select Summary Macro > Graphical Exam > Graph Exam Images. The macro creating or editing window opens. In the General section, select the following: Enter the Macro name. Select Horizontal from the Table Layout list. Select AutoFitColumn from the Image Layout list. In the Columns and Sort section, select Edit. The Macro Column Select window opens. Select the summary columns that you would like to use in your summary macro. Select Done. Associate Multiple Images from the Images Pane

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Top Toolbar, select the Images module and add images to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) component. The GET component window opens. Select the Options and Settings Popup Menu icon and then select Show Findings Images. From the IMAGE pane, select the Images check box, select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. The selected images no longer appear on the IMAGES pane. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. An icon appears in the Findings Data Grid row denoting that multiple images are attached to the finding. The Photo section of the GET component appears. The image is added to the Photo section with the following format: Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). Update Existing Descriptions

The Graphical Exam Tool (GET) allows you to update existing descriptions of patient images with the finding name and region description when they get attached to findings. The image description for each finding is unique. The finding with the same name and region is updated as Finding Name - Region Description(x) , where x increases the image description starting from 2. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select a patient. Select an existing encounter or create an encounter. On the Encounter History or Categories tab, select any image. The image opens. On the main toolbar, select Save. The Save Image File window opens. Enter the Image Description, select the Save image as, and select OK. The image is saved to the patients chart. Open the template that contains the GET component. The GET component window opens. Attach a File System or Patient Chart Image

The Finding Images enables you to attach an image to each finding made. You can attach an image file saved to your file system or the patient's chart for the current encounter. You can annotate and save images to the patient's chart using the Image module. After you attach a patient chart image, the Graphical Exam Tool (GET) displays the latest saved annotations made to it. If the patient chart image is signed off in the PAQ, the signature is not affected by attaching the image to a finding. For more information on the Image module, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest Clinical Reconciliation Module User Guide for NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The GET component window opens. Select FINDINGS and annotate the GET image. A new row is added in the Findings Data Grid with the findings details. Right-click the findings in the Findings Data Grid, and select Attach Image. The Select Image window opens. Select the image and select Open. The image is added to the Photo section with the following format: Finding Name-Region Description( x. x). You can add multiple images to the Photo section. In the Photo section, you can perform the following: Select the Original icon to view and zoom the image. Select the Manage Images icon to move images up, down, and delete.
