Export CCDs and C-CDAs

The Data Share module gives you detailed control over each aspect of file exports, including the destination, document types, clinical information, and attachments. Note: The Export tab is able to initiate various types of exports, including simple referrals. However, if you want to initiate a closed loop referral, you must use the Closed Loop Referrals tab. Areas to Fill In On Export Tab Do one of the following: To export most Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents, select the Export tab. To export a public health case report, select Send Public Health Case Report in the toolbar. To update a document, select Create Addendum or Create Replacement while viewing a previously exported item on the Home pane. The Export tab opens. Importing CCDs and C-CDAs

In the Data Share module, you can import Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) documents from external systems or from folders. Import from External Systems In the Data Share module, you can search endpoints for documents and then select the documents that you want to import. Import from a Folder You can use the Data Share module to import Continuity of Care Document (CCD), Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA), or Cross-enterprise Document Media Interchange (XDM) documents from a folder on a hard disk or portable media device. Using the Data Share Module to Import and Export Clinical Data

You can use the Data Share module, a feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR, to import and export Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) files to and from designated folders and exchange clinical information with other providers, patients, and institutions such as regional health information organizations (RHIOs) and the Health Information Systems Program (HISP). This Data Share module serves the same function as the Medical Summary Utility but provides a simpler user interface and superior performance. The Medical Summary Utility continues to be available, but its use is deprecated. An earlier version of the Data Share module provided access only to the NextGen® Share Carequality Service. The old version is still available for the convenience of existing users. Configuring Clinical Data Filters

Clinical information filters enable you to quickly select the types of clinical data to include in an export. By defining a filter for repeated use, you can ensure that exported documents include required categories of information, such as information required for Meaningful Use compliance. Clinical information filters are available only when you set the Export Type option to Manual Data Selection. Manual Data Selection Export Type Clinical information filters do not exclude items from the Clinical Information list. Rather, these filters cause selected categories of items in the Clinical Information list to be preselected for export. Even if a filter has been applied, you are still free to select or clear individual items in the list. Configure Document Management Image Exports

You can control which Document Management (DM) images are included in Continuity of Care Document (CCD) and Consolidated Clinical Document Architecture (C-CDA) exports. In the Data Share pane, select Open the Data Share Settings Slider Open the Data Share Settings Slider. From Document Management Image Export, select Show Document Management Images. Document Management Image Export To display only DM images that have been collected within a set number of days, enter the number of days in Default Viewable Days. Users can override this date range when selecting images to export. To allow an export to include all categories of DM images, select Documents. To exclude some categories of DM images from being available for export, do the following: Select Categories. The Document Management Category Filter window opens. Data Share Module
