When exporting files, the Data Share module can time out and fail if you select too many attachments (documents, images, and patient reports) or attachments that are too large. To prevent such failures, you can set warnings and limits for attachments.
- In the Data Share pane, select Open the Data Share Settings Slider
.
A pane opens and displays configuration options.
- In the Behavior section, do the following:
- To limit the number of attachments that can be selected for export, enter the value in Maximum Number of Selected Documents, Images, Patient Reports and ICS Images.
The default value is 10.
- To cause a performance warning message to appear when a certain number of attachments are selected for export, enter the value in Warn After Amount Selected Documents, Images, Patient Report and ICS Images.
The default value is 5.
- Select Apply.
- Typically, the Data Share module generates customized thumbnails to represent each attachment. For large attachments, it can take considerable processing to generate these custom thumbnails. To improve performance, you can specify that generic thumbnails be used for attachments over a certain size.
- Open System Administrator.
- Select .
- In the left pane, select Data Share.
- In the right pane, double-click Image Binary Limit (in Bytes).
- In the Image Binary Limit (in Bytes) window, enter a number, and select OK.
- If NextGen® Enterprise EHR is already running, exit and restart it.
