Create New Midmark Spirometry Tests

The Midmark spirometer interface enables you to choose among FVC, VC, and MVV tests in both Pre-Bronchodilator (Pre-BD) and Post-Bronchodilator (Post-BD) modes. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, load a patient and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the Acquire Report list, select Midmark Spirometer. If the Check Missing Information window appears, enter any missing values that you wish to and select Save and Continue. If you omit the Race, Date of Birth, Sex, or Height values, the following prompt appears: Select Yes to continue or No to return to the previous window. The Spirometry Test window opens. If the Spirometer has not been calibrated, a message appears, offering to perform calibration. Select Yes to perform the calibration or No to continue with the test. Create GE Spirometry Reports

Before you start recording, ensure that the equipment is connected to the PC. For more information on how to use GE CardioSoft functionality, refer to the GE CardioSoft Operator's Manual. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, load a patient and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module. Select Acquire Report and select GE CardioSoft Spirometry. The GE CardioSoft application starts and displays the Test Information window. Before the test starts: Configure and select the appropriate settings as needed. Explain the test procedure to the patient. On the Test Information window: For each tab, enter or select all relevant information and select OK. If you are performing a Flow-Volume measurement: Select the Start Test button. If prompted, select OK to confirm that the patient is not yet breathing through the sensor. Have the patient exhale and inhale as directed. Select the Stop Test button. Repeat the test as needed. Compare Midmark Spirometry Reports

You can compare up to ten Midmark Spirometry reports from the same patient. For more information on how to use Midmark functionalities, refer to the appropriate Midmark spirometry operation manual. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the IEM grid, select the check boxes next to up to ten Midmark Spirometry reports. The Spirometry Trend window opens. Select Pre-Bronchodilator Tests or Post-Bronchodilator Tests and select OK. The Spirometry Trends window opens. Select the following buttons to perform appropriate actions, as needed: Save To File: Saves the report as a Microsoft Excel file. Print: Prints the report. Printer Setup: Enables you to change the printer settings. Select Report: Returns to the IEM Equipment Reports window. Select Items To Trend: Enables you to select trend settings for display or printing. View F/V Loops: Displays the Flow/Volume loops using the default screen format or the last screen format used. View Patient Info: Displays the Patient Information window.

Create Midmark ECG Reports

Before you begin Before you start recording, ensure that the equipment is connected to the PC. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open a patient chart and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the Acquire Report list, select Midmark ECG. The live ECG window opens. Recording runs for 10 seconds and then stops. Select your name in the Reviewed By list. Analyze the clinical data in the report. Select Save to save the report and return to the Equipment Reports pane in EHR. A new Midmark Resting ECG report appears in the IEM grid and an (Equipment Report) indicator appears in the History toolbar under the encounter. Note: If the Store PDF Report on Equipment Report Modify Universal Preference is enabled, a PDF of the equipment report is generated and attached to the patient's encounter in the History toolbar. Create Midmark Holter Reports

To acquire Midmark Holter data, your workstation must have a security key installed and the ability to read a CompactFlash or SD card. For more information on how to use Midmark Holter functionalities, refer to the appropriate Midmark operation manual. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. Insert the CompactFlash or SD card with the recorded Holter data into the card reader. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, load a patient and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the Acquire Report list, select Midmark Holter. The Holter Analysis window opens. On the Holter Analysis window: Enter the recording Start Time & Date. This time is in 24-hour format (for 1:00 pm., enter 13:00). Use the right arrow key to move from the hour digits to minute digits. To generate reports, check the Print Reports After Analysis box and then select Report Settings to choose which reports to print. Select the Flash Card option as the data source and select Browse. Create Midmark Stress ECG Reports

Before you start recording, ensure that the equipment is connected to the PC. Prepare the patient for the test as needed. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, load a patient and select a location and provider. Open the Integrated Equipment Module From the Acquire Report list, select Midmark Stress ECG. The Pre-Test Settings window opens. On the Pre-Test Settings window: If needed, select Settings to change system configurations and to manage user profiles. Select an Exercise Profile from the list and select Next. Note: If you had selected a ramp protocol, the Patient Activity Questionnaire window appears. Enter the patient’s level of physical activity and select Next. The Hookup window opens. Prepare the patient for the test by connecting the electrodes and verifying the ECG tracing quality.
