Document Patient Information Before a Visit

You can document patient information for an appointment before the actual visit. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Select Template window, select File > System \ Practice Template. Select the Practice tab, select All, and then select Pre Encounter Documentation from the list.The Pre Encounter Documentation template opens. Note: Appointments from NextGen® Enterprise PM with the KEPT and BOOKED statuses appear in the Pre Encounter Documentation template. Optional: Filter the appointments in the grid by location and other options. Note: To add information to completed appointments, you must open the respective patient chart and make the necessary changes. Optional: To view the records in the grid and prevent the Pre Encounter SOAP window from opening when you select a record, select Row Select Opens Chart. Review and Update Mobile Dictation Data

You can review and update the mobile dictation data documented and sent to NextGen® Enterprise EHR through NextGen® Ambient Assist or any dictation software, such as NextGen® Mobile, NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop, or other third-party solutions. On any appropriate template, select the NG Mobile link. The NOS NG Mobile template opens. Note: The NG Mobile link is blue until mobile dictation data is documented. After you enter information on the NOS NG Mobile template and return to the current template, the NG Mobile link turns purple. Review and update the dictation data. Copy Mobile Dictation Data from Previous Encounters

You can copy different types of mobile dictation data from any previous encounter to the current encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open any applicable template, and then select Copy Dictation.The Mobile Dictation – History window opens. To select mobile dictation data from a previous encounter, select the encounter, and then select the necessary data types.Check marks appear for the selected data types. Optional: To select mobile dictation data from other encounters, select the encounter, and then select the necessary data types. Note: You can select a data type only once from a previous encounter. For example, if you already selected HPI from an encounter, you cannot select it again from other encounters. To copy the mobile dictation data and return to the template, select Save & Close. Record Dictation

You can record a dictation, and send the audio narrative of the patient encounter to the patient's chart in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Google™ Speech-to-text (STT) in integration with Gemini™ 1.5 Pro model automatically corrects the dictated notes for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors without disrupting the dictation streaming service. Note: The transcription system can only process and refine the content of more than fifty characters in length. Open NextGen® Mobile. Open a dictation job. Select Record Dictation, and then begin dictating. Recording view Stop appears with a timer for recording your dictation. To stop dictating or to pause your dictation, select Stop.The dictation text is processed, and the transcribed text appears in the text box. After you complete your dictation, select Send. Dictating When the Text Box Is Open

If you have the appropriate permission, you can use the Hide Streaming Text option in the Settings view to turn on and off the text box while dictating. When the text box is open while recording, you can view your dictation text with the dictation streaming workflow. The dictation streaming workflow is as follows: Record Dictation Ready to record the dictation. Listening Listening to your dictation. Processing Correcting the dictated note for grammar, punctuation, and formatting errors. Note: The transcription system can only process and refine content greater than fifty characters in length. Dictate with NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop

Before you begin You must turn on Auto Launch Speech Box in Settings > Edit Dictator to automatically open the speech box when you connect to NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop. By default, the Auto Launch Speech Box option is turned off. After pairing your desktop with NextGen® Mobile, you can use NextGen® Direct-to-Desktop to dictate into NextGen® Enterprise EHR, Speech Box, Notepad, or Microsoft Word®. You can place the cursor where you want to enter data, and start dictation in NextGen® Mobile. Open NextGen® Mobile. On Hub, select D2D icon. If Auto Launch Speech Box in Edit Dictator is turned off, you can open Speech Box manually with the Open Speech Box voice command. You can also open Speech Box from your desktop by selecting Open Speech Box on NextGen D2D. Dictation and Speech Box open. Dictation view Speech box Start dictating to Speech Box.
