Configuration of Tabs and Links

You can configure the tabs and links in the sub-navigation and tabs sections. You can find the framework content links in the navigation tabs on the Framework template set. These are convenient, customizable links that you can configure to open frequently used templates. The defaults for the framework template links vary depending on the specialty, visit type, and tab. You can use the Tabs section of the Framework Content system template to add, delete or modify the tabs for a specialty and any of its visit types. You can add several visit types for a particular specialty and configure the tabs for each specialty-visit type combination. Set Up Links

You can use the Framework Content system template to configure the links. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select Template Window Select the System tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of templates appear. To open the Framework Content template, double-click Framework Content. Select from the Specialty and Practice lists. In Tabs, do the following: Select from the Template and Visit Type lists. Enter a value in the Caption field. Select a template in the Template field from the list. Select Add. The Tab details are added. In the Tabs grid, select a row.The application lists associated links in the Sub Navigation section. In Sub Navigation , do the following: Select the Tab Name. Enter the caption and template details in the Sub Nav 1Sub Nav 2, Sub Nav 3, and so on. Select Add.A new link is added. The Framework Content system template enables you to customize various elements of navigation and configure the content for certain panels at the specialty, practice, and provider levels. Modify Links

You can update or delete the existing links as per your requirement. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a Specialty and Practice. Under the Tabs section, select a Template and Visit Type. Associated links are updated in the Sub Navigation section. In the Sub Navigation grid, select a row. The Caption and Template fields are updated based on the selected tab. To update or remove a link, do one of the following as applicable: To update a link, make the necessary changes in the Caption and Template fields, and select Update. To remove a link, select Delete. Note: You can view a confirmation message appears to confirm if you want to delete all the sub-navigational links for the selected tab. You can use the links that appear on the templates of NextGen® Orthopedic Suite to open frequently used templates. The links for frequently used templates vary for each workflow, based on the configurations for your practice, provider, and specialty. Viewing Template Links on the Checkout Template

You can customize the links to meet your needs on the Checkout template. The links that appear on the Checkout template may vary depending on the selected specialty. You can customize the links as per your requirements.
